The Miami Valley Institute of Food & Spirits is a non-profit organization that was reorganized from a national organization in 2016. Our goal and purpose is to advance the understanding, appreciation and the quality of what we eat and drink.
Our Dayton organization celebrates 40+ years of enhancing life in the Dayton community by cultivating our members and our unique food culture through educational programs and social activities.
Our signature program is Farm to Table, a food nutrition initiative to educate elementary school children about the origins of their food. The program focuses on Oakview Elementary School’s Garden Project targeted to 1st grade students.
